6-Figure Business Ideas You Can Start With Little Money

6-figure is a large sum. Not everyone is lucky enough to have such money. In fact, in poor, third-world countries only a handful of people actually earn in six figures every year. Of course, I won’t say this about the US, but still, even for an average American, $100K is a huge amount. So, how can you achieve a 6-figure life? Well, it’s possible by starting a business.

I got this idea, and while doing research in this topic I found some really unique business ideas that has 6-figure potential. Why, people actually have made such money from the businesses I’ll mention below…

(1) Costume Business

Kids LOVE costumes performance. Why, even grown-ups boys love wearing goofy costumes. Everything kept aside, here’s one business idea that has huge potential. No, I’m not asking you to setup a costume manufacturing factory. Rather, the business is about renting costumes.

What’s so special about costume renting business? And, how can it potentially earn 6-figures? Yeah, the 6-figure is possible if you rent, and not sell costumes. Here’s a super-simple way how you can do it: Buy a realistic looking costume that has animatronic movements. The more realistic and moveable it is, the better will be your chances of earning money.

Next, either do it yourself, or hire someone who does costume side gigs. I’ll say this beforehand though: The pay is far higher if you do it yourself. Now comes the good part… Depending on how realistic your costume is, you can easily charge $500 for every gig. Parents often don’t mind spend a little extra when their kid is involved. And, no kid would hate having a realistic costume. If you think $500 is a lot, then you can lower your fee when you’re starting out. The last part is the real hustle. If you handle the entire business yourself, then a $500 daily can easily make you $15,000 in a month. Feels impossible. Might be, if you don’t spend good enough on choosing a good, and realistic costume…

Once you business takes off, you can hire more people and pay them according to the number of hours worked. Costume renting is a sleeper hit business idea because there’s very little regular innovation required, and yet the profits are good.

(2) Professional Childproofer

Only a parent can understand the pain of keeping their kids safe. Kids are unpredictable, and they can hurt themselves out of nowhere. So, how can you keep them safe, at least in your home?

Enter, Professional Childproofer. No, this business has nothing to do with the so-called traning your kid thing. As a professional childproofer your business would be to conduct a safety evaluation of your client’s home and find loopholes. Loopholes that could hurt their kid.

Once you’re done with the evaluation, you show all the loopholes and recommend your client to install items. In most cases, your client’s house would need security cameras, cabinet locks, pool safety fencing, and more. The good thing is that almost always clients place at least some order. Especially, pool fencing is a common order. Because no parent would take that risk when it comes to their child/children.

(3) Open-Community Forum

Community forums are usually used to ask random questions and post random articles. I’m pretty sure you have visited at least one community forum. Why do you think they are free? Not everybody wants to run a charity. Then how are these community forums earning their money?

Firstly, it’s from ads, and secondly, by selling public data to advertisement companies. Advertisement companies are always eager to get public data from all over the internet. And, a public forum is where thousands, if not millions people visit and share random information.

Few years ago, when AI was not that advanced, managing a community forum was a stressful task. Not today. Even one person can handle a community forum. So, can a public forum actually earn six figures? Yes, if it attracts millions of people.

I mean, look at Stack Overflow. It’s probably one of the biggest public forum in the world. Quora is also a public forum that is mostly focused on Questions (Qu) or (or) Answers (a). The big public community forums can easily make, let’s say $100,000 by selling safe data to advertisement companies. But, the real moolah comes in when you sell the entire forum. I have seen public forum websites selling or $12M. Twelve freaking million dollars is 8-figure.

(4) Website Renting

You might have heard about website/blog making, but have you ever heard website renting? Yeah, I was surprised too when I found this unique business idea. But, I’m pretty sure you’ll like this business idea. Also, compared to other businesses, this one is easier, and has better earning potential.

Without beating around the bush, I’ll mention how this business works:

(1) Choose a narrow niche and make a website about it. Narrow niche is something like “commerical gutter cleaning services in Rochester.” These keywords are highly targeted.

(2) After the website is ready, start working on SEO, or you can even run Google ads to quickly get traction on Google Search. Also, put a phone number (this is the REAL part) so that business/individuals who are interested can call for more information.

(3) Once the website starts receiving enough visitors, and also starts receiving calls on the given phone number, you contact local businesses in Rochester that do commerical gutter cleaning and offer them the phone numbers of potential clients. In return you ask a monthly payment of $1k-$2k for a regular flow of customers. It’s a win-win business model, because no business would let go off potential clients.

Well, that’s the entire business model… $1k-$2k per month is not a lot for most businesses. But, if you can gather, let’s say 50 regular clients, you can potentially earn between $50k and $100k every month.

The biggest challenge in this business is receiving regular clients. So, it’s not a passive income source, but the payout is huge…

(5) Business Analyst

Every business does not make a profit, and not every businessperson is ready to run a business. Because starting a business is a completely different from successfully running it. A Business Analyst plays a big role in deciding the future of a business. So, what does a Business Analyst do?

A business analyst dives deep into the core or a business. They try to find out loopholes, and provide solutions regarding them. And, guess what? Any business with no loophole is a strong business.

That’s why, a Business Analyst is heavily paid. Especially if they can impress the company management. While most business analyst work solo, the profit margin if often huge… Sometimes, even in millions.

(6) Astrology

Do you know why BTS videos are so popular right now, and will probably will be in the future? Because BTS (behind the scene) videos are not scripted, and have this one factor: “unpredictable.” Anything that has the “unpredictable” factor will sell, no matter what it is. Why do you think people eagerly wait for the next iPhone? Even though, for most of the years, all of them look the same. Yeah, you guessed that right…

Knowing the future takes a step higher than being unpredictable. Everybody wants to know their future, especially those who have done some serious mistakes in the past. Astrology, tarot card reading, numerology, etc, fall in this category. In Asian countries like India, Astrology is a billion-dollar industry…

So, can Astrology actually make 6-figures? One company that I found while doing research is Astrotalk. This is supposedly the biggest astrology-based company in India. As of writing this blog, the company has reported 9-figure profits (not in USD), and has a valuation of $300M. A valuation of 300 million US dollars means 9-figure.

I don’t want to debate whether astrology works, but the profits of these companies certainly explains that Indians are pretty dependent on Astrology. Even in the US, some people actually believe in astrology. You may not live in the US, but in countries like India. So, if you do, take a chance, and see how much can you make…

(7) Window Cleaning

Highly niche with immense potential. Initial investment is very low, but profits are always over the roof. These three sentences are the most common sentences I read on community forum while searching about commercial window cleaning business. Window cleaning is a great side hustle, as well as a business. There are famous stories of people building their entire lives, from being dead broke to owning multiple houses, just by owning and operating a window cleaning business.

While commercial window cleaning is a highly profitable, but you’ll have to diversify to residential window cleaning too. Why? Because commercial window cleaning is expensive, and companies don’t always want to spend thousands of dollars on cleaning windows. Also, houses outnumber commercial buildings. So, diversifying to residential window cleaning will help your business get a constant flow of clients.

But, I’ll remind you of one thing though, window cleaning is a physically intensive business. If you decide to do it yourself, make sure you’re physically fit. And, if you want to hire someone, make sure they are physically healthy, and won’t mind of heights, especially if your business cleans skyscrapers.

(8) Pressure Washing Business

Pressure Washing is a distant sister of Window Cleaning business. But, pressure cleaning is little more technical, and need more resources (especially water). I won’t take much time explaining what the business is like, but there is some good money in this business. In short, a pressure washing business cleans dirt, grime, mold, and something that cannot be cleaned without high pressure water stream.

Apart from having a constant supply of water, a pressure-washing business will be easy on your pocket. In fact, I read on Discord about a $5,000 pressure cleaning business. But, after doing even more research, I found a company that makes $5 million every year from pressure washing and window cleaning. And, no, the company isn’t a monopoly.
